Lawrence County needs a leader who will kick the hornet’s nest for real transparency, fight for fiscal responsibility, grow our economy with vision, support our first responders, and confront the drug epidemic with both compassion and accountability.
I'm a dedicated Christian, a loving husband to my wife Julie and father to our son Jerimy, a constitutional conservative, and a 20+ year Lawrence County front-lines veteran who deeply believes in Appalachian values of faith, family, hard work, and self-reliance. As an ER Resource Nurse at St. Mary's, former paramedic supervisor, volunteer firefighter, and medicolegal death investigator with the Coroner's Office, I've responded to emergencies in the middle of the night, supported families in crisis, and seen the real human toll of drugs and failing systems.
My business background brings the financial discipline we need: as operations manager of a Huntington-based technology firm, I successfully managed multi-hundred-thousand-dollar state contracts, complex budgets, logistics, and teams — delivering results on time and without waste. That hands-on experience is exactly what Lawrence County requires.
I'm running for Commissioner to deliver real transparency, protect taxpayers through fiscal responsibility, and finally unlock our economic potential at The Point Industrial Park, the Ironton Gateway, The District, and our other ready sites — creating good jobs and opportunity right here at home. But what drives me every day is this: I see your kids. Not just at the fair or in a campaign photo — I see their potential, their future, and I'm committed to investing in them for the long haul. Transparency
"Transparency should never be optional. Lawrence County taxpayers deserve open government on every major project and every tax dollar. I will introduce a Performance Audit Resolution requiring the county to request an independent state performance audit every five years, push for every expenditure be published on Ohio Checkbook, sign my No NDA Pledge, and introduce eight transparency resolutions so our residents can see exactly where their money goes. No secrets, no strings — just honest, accountable leadership."
Fiscal Responsibility
"Fiscal responsibility is not optional — it is a solemn duty. We must cut waste before ever raising taxes. I will stand guard for our homeowners, seniors, and farmers, championing full accountability for every dollar entrusted to us. Prudent stewardship of the people’s money is the foundation of liberty."
Economic Development
"True economic development begins with vision and resolve. We must unlock The Point Industrial Park and its 504 acres of river, rail, and highway advantage — along with our other industrial sites. We will build a skilled and ready workforce through Recovery-to-Work initiatives and boldly market our strategic location to attract manufacturing, logistics, and energy investments. But the real measure of success isn't just the jobs we bring here — it's whether the kids growing up in this county can build a future here too. That's what I'm working for.”
Strong Public Safety
"Public safety demands unwavering support. I will support equipping our fire, EMS, law enforcement, and 911 professionals with better tools, superior training, and the pay they deserve. Having served more than twenty years on the front lines, I understand their needs. I will fight for our first responders, because they stand guard so our families can live in peace and security. Plus you have my firm commitment to finally fixing our 1974 jail — I am working on a plan to do it without raising your taxes. I'll push to explore a financially stable community paramedicine pilot — training our EMS crews to follow up with high-risk patients between emergencies. Other Ohio counties have cut repeat 911 calls by 38-80% and saved millions. I want to see if that model works for Lawrence County — and I won't commit county dollars to anything that can't prove its own sustainability."
